Concert Review: The Black Keys at Whitewater Amphitheater

Whitewater Amphitheater had a fantastic turnout on July 25, 2026, as The Black Keys brought their Peaches ‘N Kream World Tour to New Braunfels, TX. Despite the weather being 100+ degrees, the venue was packed. After speaking to many fans in the crowd, you could tell The Black Keys are the type of band that has a dedicated fanbase, as many have been listening to their music for decades.
True to the tour and album name, peaches were at the center of everything. Almost every food truck menu featured a special item made just for the concert. The band brought fresh Georgia peaches directly to the vendors, serving up options like peach lemonade, peach pizza, and peach sausages. Along with the food, the merchandise for this tour was beautifully designed as well. Most shirt designs had peaches on them, and they even made a special shirt just for their Texas dates. All these little details made the concert feel so special to everyone attending.
Kicking off the show was Eddie 9V, a blues/rock ‘n’ roll/soul band from Georgia. Coming out wearing a cowboy hat, he truly brought a timeless sound to the stage. Eddie 9V has a sound reminiscent of The Black Keys, which makes total sense because he and Dan Auerbach collaborated for some songs. Cracking a few jokes during the set, he got the crowd warmed up for the headliners.
By 9:15 pm, The Black Keys came out playing “I Got Mine.” Having followed the band for nearly 20 years myself, being down in the pit felt like a full-circle moment. The sound was unmatched, and hearing the energy from the fans singing along to the music was incredible. Their signature rock ‘n’ roll and blues sound translated so well live, and when they played “Gold on the Ceiling,” you could hear nearly everyone yelling the lyrics back to the band. The production fit the vibe perfectly, with moody lights during their slower songs, fog, and a disco ball during “Everlasting Light.” They ended the night on a high note with “Lonely Boy,” leaving everyone in New Braunfels with an unforgettable night of music.
