Concert Review: Nostalgia Strikes at Simple Plan's Austin Tour Stop
RIYL: All American Rejects, Bowling for Soup, 3OH!3, Good Charlotte August 7, 2026 was a night of nostalgia when Simple Plan brought “The Bigger Than You Think Tour, The Sequel!” to Austin’s Moody Amphitheater. People of all ages gathered on a hot Texas night to celebrate three amazing bands playing their catalogs from the past two decades. Even though it was almost 100 degrees, that didn’t stop people from dancing the whole night and screaming on the top of their lungs to

Concert Review: The Black Keys at Whitewater Amphitheater
Whitewater Amphitheater had a fantastic turnout on July 25, 2026, as The Black Keys brought their Peaches ‘N Kream World Tour to New Braunfels, TX. Despite the weather being 100+ degrees, the venue was packed. After speaking to many fans in the crowd, you could tell The Black Keys are the type of band that has a dedicated fanbase, as many have been listening to their music for decades. Photo: Lyle Fox True to the tour and album name, peaches were at the center of everything.

The Spotlight Shines on Joji As He Delivers the Solaris Tour in Austin, TX
Joji's unique connection with his fans was on full display as the giant platform carried him above the Moody Center stage in Austin, TX on Monday. If there's anything that fans who see Joji's live performance can agree on, it's that his shows are unmatched. Upon coming into the venue, fans are greeted with a giant platform hanging far above the stage, already setting expectations high for the show (literally). The night started off with Corbin and Nate Sib warming up the crow

The Rise and Fall of the Greatest Boyband in the World: A Commentary on Fame in 5 Seconds of Summer's Everyone's a Star Tour
I've come to greatly appreciate the thought that goes into planning tours, as more and more artists take on the storytelling approach to their performances instead of just playing through their discography. 5 Seconds of Summer is the perfect example of how this storytelling can not only be used to frame the structure of the show, but can also comment on topics impacting our world, the band, or their fans. 5SOS opened their Austin show in the most predictable way possible: by

Khalid Brought the Heat to Austin on His 'It's Always Summer Somewhere' Tour
I have to start this show recap with the thought that has been bouncing around in my head since last night: Khalid's show was one of the most genuine expressions of love for his craft and his fans that I've seen in a really long time, especially for such a big artist. Khalid brought his 2026 'It's Always Summer Somewhere' Tour to Austin, TX last night and we were blown away at how incredible this show was. The setlist was frightening going into the show, with 36 songs we were

RIYL: Gregory Alan Isakov, Fleet Foxes, Hollow Coves, Lord Huron Indie Folk band The Paper Kites opened their If You Go There, I Hope You Find It tour in Austin, TX last night and absolutely blew the crowd away. The fans gathered at Emo's to see what awaited them with the opening night of the tour. They drew in an incredible crowd; it was some of the most packed I've seen the venue. The night started off with Donovan Woods. The Canadian artist started off his set talking to t

Boys Like Girls Celebrate Past Albums at the Soundtrack of Your Life Tour Stop in San Antonio.
I've been a firm believer that we should bring back appreciation for albums played front to back, so when I heard that Boys Like Girls were playing two of their greatest albums front to back on the Soundtrack of Your Life Tour, I knew I had to be in attendance. I was not prepared for how many emotions I felt during this show and how much nostalgia that hearing these albums live brought back for me. The first opener, Arrows in Action, was the perfect start to the night to get

Ashnikko Rocks the Orpheum in Vancouver, BC
RIYL: Melanie Martinez, Sophie Powers, Slayyyter Last week Ashnikko put on the most incredible and lively performance in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her and her dancers brought the energy to the stage, and the crowd had reciprocated the same. The entire crowd was feeding off of that energy, and were dancing the whole night. When Ashnikko took the stage, the crowds arose with cheers and screams of excitement. She began her set with “Sticky Fingers” from her most current album

BENEE gave Austin the Princess Treatment at her stop on the Particles Tour
RIYL: Remi Wolf, mxmtoon, Still Woozy I walked into the BENEE show not knowing what to expect and I left that show having had some of the most fun I've had at a show this year. Openers are always hit or miss for me, as sometimes they don't feel like they mesh with the vibe of the artist or the fanbase but BENEE's opener, Bayli was perfect. She captured the crowd quickly with her sassy image and catchy lyrics. It was so much fun to watch her work the stage and participate wit

Conan Gray Celebrates His Idle Town in Fort Worth Show of the Wishbone World Tour
RIYL: Olivia Rodrigo, Wallows, Clairo, Ricky Montgomery Photo from @conangray on Instagram, photo by: Dillon Matthew I want to start off this review by letting my story speak for itself. I was a casual Conan fan at the release of Wishbone and going into this show. I listened to his songs that were popular, and I only started listening to the albums all the way through when Found Heaven came out. I never considered him to be one of my favorite artists ever and wasn't really in

Blood Orange | Austin, TX | 3.7.26
Blood Orange - Essex Honey Tour ACL Live Austin, TX 3/7/26 Blood Orange (aka multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Dev Hynes) treated a packed ACL live with a gorgeous show on Saturday (3/7/26). The mood moved between hazy and energetic, with the crowd swooning over multi-layered and emotional favorites like “Mind Loaded”, and then shifting to a crowd sing-along for “Best to You”. The dreamy show was in support of his stunning 2025 album Essex Honey, which topped the list
