Tina Sandwich –Tilly O’Connor’s alter ego– and her bandmates graced the stage performing gritty tunes such as latest single ‘Teeth’ and some unreleased tracks which struck up interest from the bustling crowd.
The music has been described as a fuse of classic rockism with all the romp and pomp of power pop and that's exactly what it was. "Sunhoney" was a particular favourite of mine as I heard heavy influences from Kate Bush and Beabadoobee.
Tilly O’Connor presented herself comedically in between songs, talking about their travel over and the difference between Scottish and Irish water; which the crowd laughed along to.

Despite the sheer warmth in the ballroom, the band looked like they had an absolute blast performing their first show in Dublin. The energy in the room was bouncing to discover Tina Sandwich, many leaving the set with free stickers and mini zine’s to remember their time at the show.
Things are just getting started for Tina Sandwich; if the name isn't interesting enough, their music will soon be in your playlists and many will know their name.
