Saint Motel Brought The Energy to Scoot Inn in Austin
Nobody brings the energy like Saint Motel does. Their music is a go to whenever I'm feeling down and need a pick me up because you simply can't be sad when you're listening to their songs. However, I didn't know where to place my expectations going into a live performance. Sometimes that energy can't translate as well live so I was a little worried, but Saint Motel absolutely exceeded any expectations and had the entire audience bouncing around the Scoot Inn in Austin, TX.

Coming off of their ACL Weekend One performance, Saint Motel played the Scoot Inn in Austin, a small wooden stage in an outdoor venue. The intimate performance was a dream for fans, lots having seen them at the festival the day before. Despite the size of the crowd, the energy felt higher than it was at their ACL festival set (and I thought that set was insanely impressive!)

The night started off with Austin locals, the 4411, taking the stage to open the show. The crowd immediately soaked up their excitement and energy, fans yelling lyrics back to the band and dancing along to their electric melodies. They're one of my favorite Austin local bands and I believe they're going to find the fame that Ax and the Hatchetmen and Winyah have found recently and I'm so excited for all of the fans that found them here. They put on such a fun show!
Already pumped from the opener, the crowd went absolutely wild to the opening song, 'Move' as Saint Motel takes the stage. Usually the photographers in the photo pit contain themselves, but we were all dancing along, nodding our heads and singing while photographing. That's just how infectious their music is!

Frontman A/J Jackson is one of the most expressive humans I've seen, interacting with other band members and fans with a smile on his face and so much joy radiating out of his eyes. He hops over the stage and onto the barricade several times during the show, interacting and singing with a new fan each time. My favorite moment from the show was his interaction with a little girl on the front row, letting her start out a crowd part during 'Sweet Talk'.
As for the crowd, this was the most full I've ever seen Scoot Inn. There was almost no space to walk, yet somehow when A/J went over the barricade and out into the crowd, they made space for him! One of my favorite parts was watching the fans of all ages have fun and enjoy the music together. The fans really showed up for the band and made for an incredible show overall.
