Haunting But Make It Dreamy: flowersatherfeet release newest single "Ghost".

Single cover featuring a broken mirror and text saying flowersatherfeet and ghost.

RIYL: Slowdive, Cigarettes After Sex, Beach House

Chicago based alt-shoegaze band flowersatherfeet have been rising quickly in the local scene, and with the release of their newest single, Ghost, now is the perfect time to give them a listen. If you haven't listened yet, this will be the song that draws you in.

Ghost is a dreamy track, built around an ethereal guitar melody that immediately pulls you into the ambiance. The song quickly leans into the genre's roots, a textural riff falling over the track as the repetitive lyrics round out the haunting vibes, lingering like a 3 a.m. overthinking session, reminiscing on every word you've ever said. The harrowing contrast between "what if I said it's all in my head" and "what if I said it's all in your head" has me reeling and I will, in fact, be showing my therapist this song in our next session.

This song is easily one of my favorites released this week and only makes me more excited to hear what's next for the band. You'll definitely be seeing more of them here soon!
